yes. For some reason they don't look to happy im standing in the way taking photos at that moment though in the second pic.
I am thankful they let me (tried not to get in the way as they carried buckets). The place was from extreme darks to blown out reflections from the sun coming in the door and overhead smoke stacks hole onto the stainless steel so I really wanted to try to shoot it. I had to bring up the shadows in post. I did buy a gallon of maple syrup from them for 50 dollars after. Real nice people.

top pic is a lot lighter colored, I brought the shadow and dlight up in that. It was pretty much black except for a blown out white light and the stacks reflecting. Then I brought the highlight protect up to keep it from looking totally blown out. I think It came out "OKAY". Im wondering what I could have done to make them better.

Are you really so concerned about the section it is in? How about some pointers on how i can shoot similar situations better down the road?

i don't have any, but say i bought some. how would that do with the reflections and the stainless steel etc.?

If you get some speed lights, light up the darker places avoiding direct reflections.

Well if it's the people you were interested in shooting, I would have gone wayyyy tighter on them in the reflection. These really just look like snapshots to me. There's nothing here that clues me in to what's going on. Shoot to tell the story!

maybe instead of being in the way, i should have been shooting them working it. Telling the story.
