Now we are talking, its gone from a flat image with little interest, to a great BW landscape image. I am not sure if you saw my suggestion, but I would split the difference in the leveling that you did between this and the original image.

will do. thanks for the suggestions I like it better as well. you saw something I didn't. thinking I might lower the sharpness a little too it is a bit strange up close now.
