I am having a hard time choosing between the 430ex and the 430ex II. I have read the comparisons and reviews. I need further advice and would like to know which one would you guys purchase and why. thanks.

As I understand it the new features on the II are:

faster recycle

metal foot/new locking mechanism

1/3rd stop adjustment increments (old model is full stop increments)

can take advantage of the flash control features built into the menus of the newer EOS DSLRs (operate the flash from the camera body instead of the controls on the back of the flash)

I didn't look real hard, but it seems like there's about a $60 difference in price. It just depends on how important those features are to you as to whether it's worth it.
