Thanks. What drew me to it was the bulbs but I had to look carefully at it for a minute from different angles. I noticed the was two groups of three, 3 bulbs and three reflections. The challenge was to get them all in the frame, eliminating a window sign (60mm macro), and then wait for someone to walk by. It happened and this is what your viewing. I got a couple other people too but I liked this one the best. Sooc, Fujifilm X-Pro 2, custom velvia simulation.Great shot. I can't pin down exactly what it is I like about this shot, but I like it.
Thanks. I remembered you encouraging me to explore this. I have, and oddly enough the phone is best at this. However, i love trying manipulating the mirrorless camera settings to obtain similar results. I just love photography, it is close to becoming my canvas but i keep getting pulled away by commisions from prior customers. I have 4 portaits this month...Yet another wonderful window/reflection shot from you!
The Reflection King strikes again. This is neither subtle nor direct, but it is extremely interesting. Good stuff JC. (But the image can benefit from some selective burning and dodging.)
Ok. Thanks. Makes sense .For starters, a basic rule is that the eye is attracted to white/lighter colors. So to emphasis the Five of spades, I would hit it lightly with the dodge tool set on highlights, darken up a smidgen the hand and phone and the white shirt and chest, darken up a bit the entire upper blue-green area, darken the entire middle bulb then come back and hit the filament with the dodge tool set on highlights ... just a bunch of bit and pieces which would not make a night and day difference in the image ... but would make it a bit better.
