Got a new toy. Photec softlighter 60" umbrella. Can be used as a shoot through umbrella, reflective umbrella or it has a cover, as shown, that allows you to use it as a softbox.

The softbox mode cover curves up around the edges of the umbrella and attaches to the back of the umbrella at each umbrella stem with a piece of velcro. It also has a little sock in the front that goes over the umbrella stem.

Yes it is big. I can't go lower than 1/4 with this apparatus with the cover on, it eats light. I have the LP160 which has a GN of 145@50mm which is comparable power to the top Nikon flash SB900.
