Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
A photo I took the other day when I saw the way the window light was creating a really contrasty scene on my friend's coffee table. I thought it looked like a perfect moment to use the 50mm 1.4 wide open. I have applied 5 similar treatments to the photo but I can't decide which I like best. I think my favourite is #2, but I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks of the photo (so general C&C on composition, lighting, processing). Some people may find the subject matter slightly controversial (it's a packet of cigarettes and a lighter on the right, a bong on the left and a big bag of weed in the background) but please bear in mind that I do not care about your opinions on drugs, just your opinions of the photo.

Yes - it's called a bong.

#4 looks like the best photo overall...things show up the best in that one.

The edit and colors in #3 seem to match the content the best for me.

They all suck

Geddit!? ;)

?

..oh nevermind..

I actually like edit #5 for the subject matter.

Looks like #4 is the most popular choice - I actually thought would be the least popular but there you go. Anybody with any general C&C?

I sooo shouldn't have voted, but hey, I can appreciate the photo, subject matter aside. I liked 4 the most. The reason being, I think #1 is too hard to tell what's going on, too dark. #'s 2&3 I think they are too monotone and the highlights in the center keep your attention off the objects in the frame. #'s 3&4 I liked equally, I think the lighting was seemed balanced, but the coloration in 4 put it over the top. The difference in color on the bong and lighter from the rest of the frame helped set it out, and gives the eye something to be drawn to.
