5D MKII and M50 Owner, Where to next to replace the 5D?

Hi all,

I have been out of the photography loop for quite a while and I know there are a ton of camera bodies out there now. I recently got the M50 with the EF adapter and really have fallen in love with it.

But I still find my 5D MKII better when it comes to noise and generally I just feel more at home having used it for all those years.

I don't shoot professionally and want to consider options for replacing my 5D II with something newer to get the advantage of video and better AF (plus the other obvious benefits of a newer body).

The problem I'm having is figuring out what's the best option. Personally, I have always been a 5D user since film days so it's natural to look at the MK4 but I don't want to let my vision be blinkered by the past.

The big factor here is the collection of EF lenses that clearly keep me in the Canon line and something that's compatible, even if it's going the R route with an adapter.

Any thoughts or advice is most welcome.
