5DII/16-35L IS F4 vs 7D/10-22

I'm looking for the ideal set up for on-the-go, from-car-to-car rolling shots. Which one of those would give me best results? 7D has better focus than 5D, but 16-35 with IS is supposed to be very good as well.

Thoughts?

There are trade-offs. But I *suspect* the 7D will be the better option.

The angle of view of the two lenses paired to their respective bodies provides an almost identical angle of view (although the 16-36mm is better glass.)

The 5D II will have better ISO performance if, for some reason, you're shooting in low light (I suspect not for the type of photography you're describing.)

However in addition to the focus system, the 7D also has a significantly faster burst rate. I'm thinking that burst rate will come in handy -- if you burst through a half-dozen to dozen shots you'll probably find that just one or two are the keepers. The 5D II can't keep up with that frame rate.

I don't usually take these pictures in low light, actually the opposite, usually it's too bright and I put a polarizer on the lens. I have both cameras and the 10-22 lens right now. Also have 24-70 2.8, which I'd probably have to sell to get the 16-35. It would leave me without a lens to cover mid range of 35-70, unfortunately, as the only other lens I have is 70-200 IS f4.

I was also thinking to maybe sell both cameras, add money and get 5D III, but I'd still need the 16-35, so would have to add a lot more money.

Decisions, decisions...
