I've been trying to figure out a cheap way to get my lenses into the 300+ realm for sports for a few months. I've got a 70-200 that works pretty well, but it somewhat limiting, so I've been researching a 1.4x converter and the 300 f4. After reading about all the pros and cons, I decided to get the converter, but rented a 300 f4 this week for the Arkansas/A&M game this weekend. I now have a bunch of high school football photos from all kind of combinations of those three, and I wanted to share some samples for other people who may be making the same decision. I know that I found it difficult to find any useful images.
