70-200mm IS

I just got my 70-200mm IS in the mail and I have found that the zoom isn't the smoothest thing in the world. Is this normal for this lens or should I send it back for a replacement?

I assume you're referring to the Canon 70-200 F2.8L IS because I've never noticed the problem with mine and I've had it quite a while now.
Try zooming with the IS off and see if that helps, otherwise try to find someone with one that you can compare with.
