Oh Ken...can I please post an edit of this image...I do so like it but it feels just a touch on the flat side.

Go ahead if you like. I wanted it kind of drab and dreary, and so didn't push the contrast, but let's see what you have in mind.

It's funny that the first comment was that it felt flat because it felt almost the opposite to me: 3-dimensional. The shapes and reflections are all various shades of grey (god, how I hate that woman for ruining such a functional phrase!) but then there are the golden tones that hint at the warmth of inside...the 'inside' that you can only see as you're standing outside in the dreary, grey weather.

Thanks! Actually I was inside, looking out of a window across a plaza, and some of the interior stuff was behind the glass in the image and some reflected from behind me in the space where I was sitting.

I hope Chris posts an edit because I'd be interested in seeing his take.

Yeah, it's certainly different. It has its own appeal, although not really what I was after, but I may try something intermediate. Thanks for the suggestion!

I like the balance and composition here, I can see what you're trying to do and wouldn't change that part at all.

Within the composition is a really nice balance of the cold outside and the reflections of the warmer interior. Bring that contrast more forward very subtly by making the interior reflections a little warmer and the exterior colours just a tad cooler?

I always want to like images like this, but I always feel like they fall short and I can never articulate why. I -think- it's because they generally don't have a particular point of focus in the image. There's nothing that's obviously there for me to see and appreciate. I think this is also true with this one.
