A Couple of Birds

[jeffashman28 1]

Haven't been getting out much due to the oppressive heat and humidity, but I've got to keep practicing, especially with the new camera and getting a feel for the settings.

1 A couple of humming birds finally showed up, maybe because for the first time in weeks its been below 100F. Here's a nice little ruby throated fella.

Does the dove have a mate? There are two that visit the feeders.

Yes, there are usually two collared doves, four whitewing doves, and two mourning doves.

[Digger...]

Do you buy the nectar powder or just make suger water for the hummers?

I make sugar water. More cost effective and safer for the birds.
