I'm quite new to using a DSLR but here are a few of my shots that turned out ok/good.
Any comments or tips would be helpful. Several of the shots didnt turn out as sharp as I would have liked.

1 and 2 would be much better w/o the power lines and poles. They sort of ruin those two shots. Also, the gloomy day clouds don't help the images either. Clear blue skies or just a few small clouds would have been much prettier.

3 is pleasant, but it looks crooked to me. Also, maybe a little bit tighter crop on the gazebo would have improved it overall. I think it could have been a bit sharper, but I'm guessing you were shooting from a moving boat, so it's not too bad considering that fact.

4 doesn't do much for me. It's just a wooden dock. Maybe if you were standing on the shore and shot the dock with the sunrise/sunset in the background, it'd be more appealing.

5 isn't anything special either. I've seen hundreds of pictures of Mustangs before. I think the parking lot and ho-hum background really take away from that shot. It's a nice looking car, but just shoot it in a more exciting or unique environment.

6 is really nice. Orange and green are my two favorite colors together. The bokeh isn't stellar, but it's definitely pleasing.

7 honestly just looks like someone's overgrown back yard. I think you were trying to showcase the old rusty sign, but in that particular environment, it would be hard to make it stand out well in a shot.

Overall, I'd say that these are decent shots most have nice contrast and colors. You're well on your way, so keep it up!

#1 is my pick of the bunch.
