A couple of recent shots

[robbins.photo]

Been a pretty hectic week this week, and it rained last weekend so haven't had much of a chance to get out there and take pictures, but I've still managed to get a couple lately:

As always any comments, critique, thrown veggies - all welcome.. lol

Excellent! Who doesn't like to watch a swan take a bath? The eye contact with the Snow Leopard (?) is terrific.

Love the first shot. Also the Snow Leopard. Read the book by Mathewson it's great. Later Ed

[Derrel]

The first swan shot is interesting to look at. I like the stop-motion water on that one.

[Bamps]

I agree about the first shot. I think the gorilla looks depressed. Like a lifetime prisoner.
I really like the cat shots too, eyes are clear and direct, motion on the first cat is stopped in midstep. Great pics overall

Well, you already know my opinion on the swan ones. Glad you posted them. They are beautiful. And the kitty one...

[JacaRanda]

I like the frist Swan also. (I hate that some birds are nearly impossible to get catchlights on).
I also like the Snow Leopard, but I think shooting through the glass (well we know what a pain that can be). Looks like the focus was on the tuft of fur just in front of its left ear.

Great details and colors,I like it.

[Radical]

All of them great shots!

[BillM]

The gorilla looks like he was forced to work overtime by his mean boss. I know how he feels

But the kitty's look happy !!!!

[IzzieK]

Love the swans...have only seen a white swan once, almost always the ones I saw were black ones.

[jkzo]

Nice pictures. Take care of your gorilla, it seems not happy with you!

[Raj_55555]

I've never seen a drowsy gorilla. My favs #3 & #5. Cool shots Robbins.

[SCraig]

That's five, not a couple ;(

Pretty darn good though. I love Snow Leopards.

Thanks folks, appreciate all the feedback. Ok, on the Gorilla - he's actually not upset. He's was just getting ready to lay down for a nap. Like all of the Gorilla's at the Henry Doorly he was actually born in captivity - and from the conversations I've had with the keepers there they are a pretty happy go lucky bunch overall.
