Nice set! Like 1 and 2 the best.... I think they would look a bit better if the sky was lighter, they look like a storm is coming in! :)

Yes it is a storm coming in. Snowstorm. Sleet was falling most of the day, then the snow came. Today the sun shone. Must have been Divine Intervention.

OK.. There WAS a storm! lol! Cool! Still a nice set! :)

Great processing. I like also like 1and2 but I also like 3 if it was centered a little more to the right and a lower perspective. I was wondering when you were going to post some new HDR's.

#1 is my favorite - I like the contrast and the colors in the glass on the left - and the flowers.

In case no one noticed but #2 is the backside of #1. And in #1 the steel railings in front protect people from falling into the moat which flows throw about 15 feet below.

I think they are lovely! And what a gorgeous place that #1 is!

Thanks Norma. Its the site of an old mill. The glass part is a restaurant and I think the mill is now converted to a hotel.

Hey Bynx,

A thought for #1. It is truly an outstanding image. The railings on the very front of the building and the rocks just below them seem to be brighter than the rest of the image. You could selectively bring down the brightness and it wouldn't stand out as much.

Nice set!

If memory serves me, the railings were stainless steel and very bright with almost white sky reflections. Also between the vertical posts were sheets of thick glass, also reflecting bright images off them. Im not sure what rocks you are referring to that should be darkened because the glass in front actually has made them darker than they really were. The top row of glass has a greenish look to them. The lower ones are hardly visible but you can see the difference at the top left piece of glass on the left since the glass stops about 4 inches from the top horizontal rail.

Now that I look at it a little closer it seems that the whole image is right center-bright. If you put your hand over the right side of the image, the left side is a couple notches dimmer. Vice versa, if you put your hand over the left side, the stones/railing etc. are much brighter compartively.

As far as the cause, could this have been a result of the lighting option selected in photomatix? Perhaps it was the lighting at the scene but it strikes me as bit unnatural for some reason.

Whether it looks unnatural or not my opinion is that is the fun about HDR processing. Taking a realistic image and tweaking sliders and adding color to bring out the expression of ones self. Let's be real bynx likes the 3d look that's already off path to natural or unatural. I like it and would not change anything about it not one thing.
