Thanks! I've always been enamored with that type of photography, but I didn't really have the drive or guts to delve into it, because within this...um...genre?...Of photography, the line between snapshot and good shot is thinner than in other areas.

So now that I've left many of my connections back home,I've just been going out and seeing what I can find in the wilds of the urban/coastal jungle. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be shooting much...

And yeah, It makes more sense in portrait orientation. The only reason I didn't do it like that was because I shot it with the X100S, which has a 23mm (35mm equiv. focal length), and it's easier to deal with the perspective warping by shooting close portraits horizontally. Heh.

Thank you. Yeah he was a pretty neat dude. A lot of the time, the eccentric characters aren't as interesting in front of the camera as they are walking down the street, but this guy totally got into the picture-taking.

Heh I've been posting but just not stuff that I typically post. My content has been all over the place the past few months.

The first photo is gorgeous! Wonderful silhouette and looks sharp. The fish guy is definitely interesting however I am completely distracted by the post to his right. It looks like it's in the background and right next to him at the same time.
