A Decisive Moment and a Fishy Guy

It's not everyone's cup of tea but here's an image I caught at the beach the other day. One of the few silhouettes I've taken recently that I actually like.



And if you think that's lame, here's a man dressed as a fish. I hope this thread has a little something for everyone.

Haha. Honestly, and this is gonna sound horrible, I did talk to him to see what the story was. He's visiting from Japan, but beyond that, the language/accent barrier for both of us made it really difficult, and I'm not sure we understood what the other was saying. I'm really really bad (to the point of shame) when it comes to accents and dialects.

After I took this photo he did ask me to take a pic of him outside the ice cream parlor we were at. He was super friendly, much more so than most other eccentrically dressed people around here it seems.

Well thank you. Since moving somewhere that has a culture and surroundings that are actually interesting (cotton fields aren't very conducive to most types of photography), I've tried to become more aware when out and of situations happening around me.

I'm still not able to get all up in a moment like most street photographers are, though. It's less distressing to be unseen and unheard for the most part.

I love the first shot. It reminds me of the type of shot that really interested me in photography when I was younger, though much better executed than I could ever manage. The second buggs me that its not in portrait orientation
