I really like the second one. You were able to capture the fog and position the sun just enough to get some sun rays to show.

Were you on a boat? Can you give us a little story / background of the photos?

I was on a boat. I go out with friends about once a week from mid-April to mid-June here Google Maps
We go out before the sun cracks the horizon and stay until 10:30 or thereabouts when the birds go back into the reeds for their siestas.
