A Few Black & Whites

I'm taking an introductory black and white photography class at a local college, and I thought I'd share my first three assignments for some critique. They were all taken with a Canon Rebel 2000 and scanned onto my computer.

A portrait.

A landscape.

A stop-motion. Used a 4.5 aperture and 1/1000 shutter speed.

I, personally, like the first one. The next two seem somewhat too dark.
