None of these have pp, and I know I gotta straighten some just wanted to get an overall opinion on the lighting in the corridor and the stone face etc. Thanks.

Overall, I think they're not too bad at all. The lighting is decent; remember that when you're dealing with large snow areas, the camera's light meter thinks that it is grey and exposes accordingly. Don't forget to adjust your exposure. I quite like #s 1-4, but think they might have been even stronger had they been shot with a shorter focal length to include more of the scene.

thanks for the CC!
You know, I'm kinda mad at myself, because for the most part I took them all with the 55-200 because it was so icy and I didnt want to fall (I'm so clumbsy in the snow) and break my ****.
So, I used the flash and I bounced it off the ceiling in the first one, your right about the snow, plus I was unsure about the light coming in from the windows and using a flash on top of it.
I want to go back when I have more then 1 hour. lol cuz parking sux!

I really like #3! Good job! I dislike the snow on so meny levels.. lol.

I hear you...snow is the ultimate buzzkill for me. There isn't one thing at all about it that I like, especially when I fall in it, or slide into it...or have to shovel it.
Hell...I hate it.
lol

Mostly nice shots. I've taken some pictures there in the past when I had a gargoyle fixation - Penn is good for that too. I like #2, but I would crop the right side to eliminate whatever is partially there along the upper edge and also darken the right side of the archway to match the lighting on the other side. That would focus attention more on the windows and the wall outside.

#4 is the better corridor shot, but a bit too dark - need to bring up the darker mid-tones a bit. The stone face is underexposed and needs to be lightened quite a bit. That may make it noisy, but still better than it is.

I actually have another of the face that is lighter, I didnt care for it, but I'll throw it up tomorrow (today?) and also another of the corrider I think that is more lit, by bouncing the flash.
Thanks for the CC!

they all look good. i think 1-4 would give you a total diff effect and a real nice if you did them HDR. Im just saying IMO
