Tell me what you think. The lions were shot in pouring rain thru the windshield of the safari car. I kinda liked the effect.

I guess there's no WOW factor in these shots, given these are predators and you can't get close to them :) #2 is kinda cool. Plus, some posts will just get more responses that I've noticed. Thanks for sharing. I'd like to go to Safari sometime to see these in the wild.

On safari we got very close. The drinking cheetah was approx. 15 ft. from car. However it was very dim overcast morning light and ISO was at 800 - not that good for D300s. No excuses tho, I just did what I thought was right at the time. Oh and I suck at post but insist on shooting raw and at least trying.

I love cheetahs, so #1 is my favorite. Some of the highlights are a little blown out (because of the reflection on the water) but I do enjoy them.

That must have been an exciting trip! I love the Crocodile!! All & all you got some nice shots. With some minor adjustments in photoshop #2&#4 ( or what ever you use) you will have some nice images!

What kind of adjustments? I have Lightroom an PS Elements. So far these photos are as true to what I remember as possible. The colors on the savannah were mostly drab and muted and the weather was often overcast. I guess I could brighten and add some saturation to display on here and keep my interpretations to myself, but it seems deceitful at best.

I like number one, but they are all good shots. I am not an expert but I guess I would have to agree with some of the comments about Photoshop.

With 2 & 4 maybe add a little shadow to them Which will darken them a tad. Thats really all they need I think, just darken a bit. If I'm using the right term LOL. I'm not real good with all that photoshop type talk.
Maybe someone will come along and explain better.
