3: One you probably won't have is the Paradise duck and in this case the female. I must do up a thread on these colourful ducks one day.

4: Cormorant/Shag blasting through

5: Oops !!

6: And this is what happens when a Cormorant flies too darn close, you cut the rear end off !!

7: A brown backed Gull. I find them more interesting in the markings than a std Gull

8: A low flying brown backed Gull

Sony NEX-7 and the Canon FD 500 F/4.5L

All the best folks.

Danny.

These are all very nice. I like that they are very sharp. My only "comment" is that, for me, they are too closely cropped. In the cases that you have here where your birds are flying from right to left, I like to leave a bit more space on the left for the birds to fly into, thus I would place the birds in the right third of each image.

Agreed ;) I generally tell others the same thing as well funny enough, I'm a hypocrite :) Always give them room to go.

All the best and you are right.

Sweet set as usual Danny. Ooops, I did it again :)

I love the reference shot. What a beautiful place. I too often forget to post a reference shot :(
