Most of them are too blown out for my taste. but i do like the pose in the first.

1,3 and 4 are overexposed, with the 1st and 3rd being the worst. I think it almost works with the 3rd shot, but the highlight above your head is distracting.

I think the strongest of the 4 is the 3rd shot. Watch out for objects, such as that pipe, that can ruin very good shots.

If there is anything that I would say, its that they are not really "compelling" shots, which I know is quite vague. Try mixing stuff up, maybe take a shot, look at it, and try to work with what you like and try to remove what you dont. keep it up though!

1 and three are interesting but the over exposure and background kind of ruin them. It's a good start. Keep shooting.

Welcome to the TPF.

#1 - I like the crop. Yes, it is overexposed, but it would be hard to fix it. The model is overexposed only by a small amount, even if you'd correct for that you still end up with all the rest being overexposed. And if you'd expose the photo for the background, the girl would be very dark. It's just a very problematic scene, especially for a P&S which I assume you were using. Putting the blown highlights aside, I really like the shot.

#2 - Not really, again there are some blown highlights, and you should keep more of the land in the frame. The sky is crossing the bottom line on the right side, and it doesn't look good.

#3 - Now that's a really good one. The composition is good but you might want to avoid stuff like the pipe and the other thing on the left next time. The colors fit the image very well. Again there are blown highlights, but I pretty much don't care about it in this one. It could be a tad darker though.

#4 - I am not a big fan of it. It's cropped a little bit too tight, you've cut a part of the eye out. It's also a little bit too bright.

Keep shooting and have fun with photography, you're going the good way ;)

Yeah, they are just a few shots.
I'm still learning. And thank you for the tips :)

I am a newbie too so no tech advice from me...just what I think looks good. I love the first one. I like her pose. I love the cloudy pic in #2. It looks really beautiful to me.
