I sent my 120-300 F2.8 back for some warranty service to fix the AF motor. Yup all the reports are true about that lens and reliability, so I will be shooting the Sigma 150-500 for the time being. I dialed AF fine tune to +1 and played with some songbirds. Frankly I am shocked that the lens is as sharp as it is. I think I left default sharpening in LR and just used .4 50% USM or HPS in photoscape. All at F8 and 500mm... Maybe a little boring but Comments welcome

My jaw just hit the floor! Simply incredible photos! The contrast between the deep orange and jet black in the male is really striking. Nice job!

I really loved the junco, with the shadow on its body. Very nice. Agree...the OOF on the cardinal female also hurts quite a bit, but to me, the sawed off end of the branch is equally hurtful to the shot. Too much a hand of man kinda distraction, to me at least.

Kris, pretty good shots again. I am assuming from what you said at the start that these are all with the Sigma 150-500? Too bad about the OOF bit in the first one, but the second oen is just great.
