After I finished my bird outing, I decided to take a little walk around the Grist Mill pond to see just what wild spring flowers were in bloom. Came across just 3 different plants, which by their size would be classified as minor spring annuals. So I decided to setup and take some pictures even though it was bright, contrasty light approaching high noon.

Eric, thanks for the kinds words, but the more I look at those two yellow follows, I don't know how I didn't correct those hot spots.

Nice job.. hard to shoot in that light!

Thanks Charlie. Between work, home, and family, I take whatever time I can to get out ( I try for one 1/2 day shoot per week). I've bought a white umbrella at my local Wallmart to help control that strong light I have to deal with. Even today, I planned on getting out for a 1/2 day as my work schedule calls for a 10pm to 7am in CVS drug store. Forecast was for a chance of morning showers, then partly cloudy with winds less then 10 mph. What I woke up to was Thunderstorms, winds to 50 mph, and on & off rain for the majority of the day. Given the two options I generally end up with, I'll go for the sunshine.
