A girlfriend from 20 some odd years ago and her mother (who also used to be one of my employees) came to visit Saturday. It had been several years since I've seen them, so it was long overdue and a really nice day. Christie, who was introduced to me by her mother, asked me out every day for months before I finally agreed to go to a Halloween party with her. We were a couple for the next 2 and a half years. She was much younger than me and the maternal instincts began to develop, but I didn't want children, so our romantic relationship ended. Somehow I have been able to maintain friendships with most of my former girlfriends. I feel lucky because they are all wonderful people. Christie now has 2 great kids and a good husband.

I asked Christie and Connie to pose for me so I could get some practice in portraiture. It has been a lot of years and, back then, I never did my own developing. These are available light.

Nikon D810, Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD at 200mm, f/2.8, 1/60s, ISO 64 hand-held.

Your C&C encouraged.

I like the 2nd one.The 1st one looks soft (and magenta) to me (I'm on an un-calibrated monitor). Might be motion blur. Why did you shoot at 1/60? That seems awfully slow for 200mm, even with IS on. With the 810, surely you could have bumped the iso a smidge.
