I think there is too much black at the bottom of the picture. It would look better if the whole tree (not only the top branches) was silhouetted againt the sky. Also, the lens flare is a bit distracting. Lens flare can be avoided by shooting when the sun is lower or by placing it behind a tree, building... to avoid too much light hitting the lens.

Just a bit too much black, yes, agree with Steph on this, but otherwise ... what a moment, eh? Once the sun peaks up over the horizon it is already there, and I guess it is even faster in Bahrain where you are! Nice inclusion of this gnarled tree, I really like that tree!

Steph, thank you for the comments. I totally understand the flare bit and honestly the sunrise just broke out seconds before I was ready for it :mrgreen:
Still, appreciate all the inputs and hope to hear more of such comments on upcoming shots

The larger blue offsets the black nicely. The flare brings attention to the horizon and the tree brings you back out. It works imo.
