Interesting idea for an exercise. My experience is that forcing myself to shoot abstract has helped me learn how to compose an image – any image, not just abstracts. It's also like a boot camp for the eye to learn to see things where others might see nothing.

All very nice, although that huge watermark makes them kind of difficult to look at. #3 and #5 are much lower in contrast than the others. Was this a deliberate choice in processing or were you just trying to make them look the way the actual scene looked? In either case, it might be interesting to boost it a little and see what happens.
