A question about Infrared photography

Hi Everyone!
Sorry if this is the wrong section but I'm new here. I recently bought a Hoya R72 IR filter for my Canon 450d and have just been out to experiment and after a bit of trial and error have got the white balance correct. However, when I go into photoshop to reverse the red and blue channels, allthough the sky goes a nice blue colour, any buildings or [FONT=Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, sans-serif]c[/FONT][FONT=Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, sans-serif]ars[/FONT] in my picture have very strong blue accents wherever there is any blue on them and even on buildings which were originally white or brown. Could anyone help me on this? Thanks a lot!

Are you using the channel mixer to achieve this? If so then apply it as an adjustment layer and then use a layer mask to mask out the bits you don't want blue.
