The yellow is so bright you can't see the details of this pretty flower very much. Nice shot though.

Well i didn't even adjust the contrast of it, so what you see is what was there [except for the b&w].

I'll have a look at bringing down the yellow contrast.

edit: I tried that, and the detail is still gone, but the flower just looks dull.

You did say C&C. I agree about the yellow, unless the burnt out effect is what you are going for. The composition is good, i am not too hot on square shots so not my region of expertese, as the background is black it would be nice to try a little experiment, just to see what would happen if you moved the white flower in the bottom right corner up to the top right. The main subject is nicely off center and i think that it may be an interesting way of weighting it if the corner was moved, i know it wasnt that image you took and is cheating but just out of accademic curiosity it would be nice to see.
