A red dragonfly, a fan of FM?

I shot this dragonfly sitting on my car antenna. Feel free to let me know what you think!

Second shot has better wings. Focus appears to be at the mid-to-back of the dragonfly rather than on the head (are you using manual or auto-focus?). High f-stop allows the background through, which in this case works great. The perspective is good, looking up at the fly. The first have better image balance, unfortunately the second has cloud mass is at upper left which unbalances the image (would prefer upper right(?)). The sight line of the pole works to direct attention to the head of the fly. There is more clarity in the first than the second (second looks muddy). Prefer 1 to 2 for technical reasons but prefer 2 to 1 for compostionional reasons (mainly the wings).
