Good title. And nice, watchful eye of yours. This picture maybe would be better in colour as being quite "flat" in detail. What do you think ?

A couple of thoughts for [potential] improvement: Avoid shooting straight on; even just a little off to the side could make the image stronger, and perhaps some selective brightening of the alcove to make the birds more visible in the image. Regardless, well spotted!

I think it would be awesome if the birds were clear. But they are not. So no go for me.

Very nice. A little hint of Koudelka in here, to my eye.

Color would ruin it. The framing is perfect, I adore the lines on top and below. I don't care if the birds are clear, myself, but I will say that there are some seriously nasty looking artifacts in the "large" size on flickr. This one is best kept small, unless you have a much higher quality image somewhere. The artifacts in a large print would, I feel, overwhelm the underlying excellence of the image and make it just look bad. Which is a real shame.

yeah, concrete and pigeons. I don't think color would make much difference. I like it.
