I was able to get out for a hour or so last night after dinner, so I headed down to a local pond, and took a walk enjoying the scenery.

This picture is a HDR image that was further processed in Nikon NX 2.3. to enhance the dirt path and richen up the sky.

The Bridge was already in the shadows as the sun was starting to set. I tried in post production to lighten it up to bring out it's stone details.

Being brackish water, the reeds just seem to grow everywhere. The light interacted with them nicely, making for what I think are some interesting images.

Really like #1. The blue sky is what keeps my interest, nice job.

#2 not sure I like the composition in portrait mode. Bridge looks strangely cut off on the left side. I'd be curious to see more it, and less of the reeds in the foreground. That is of course personal preference.

The last 2 are pleasent enough, but don't hold any special interest for me. Thanks for posting! It was a very relaxing walk I'm sure, based on the content of the shots.

CMfromIL, thanks for your comments. They're appreciated. Like you, the sky and the path are the main focal points, and both needed editing to bring out their colors. I hope I didn't go overboard as I seem to usually do.

Picture #2 I shot in a portrait mode because I was interested in trying to show the contrasting light between the foreground flowers and the bridge in the shadows. If your not thrilled with that mode, I was less then thrilled with how the landscape version looked. There just didn't seem to be any real balance with the foreground, so I went with what I thought was the best of the set.

Really like the last one.

Thank you Greybeard and GeorgieGirl for your positive comments.

How did I miss this? Nice set Joel :) I really like the First and last ones. The blue sky in the first really fills the scene and adds a beautiful balance , nicely done :)

Thanks Judi. I always appreciate it when you take the time to view my work.
