a try at landscape

I'm generally not interested nor skillful but this was such a pretty spot.
Had trouble with the dynamic range and didn't have a tripod with me to take a set of exposure so I did what I could.

Comments/critiques welcome.

Nice shot, Lew. As you said, a beautiful place. Makes me want to sit down under that big tree and watch the hills get older.

There is a piece of fence between the top and middle rail of the main fence on the left side that doesn't add anything. It also looks like the contrast might be a little soft, of course that could have been intentional to. The foreground fence and tree frame the hills very well though.

I'm normally not a big fan of landscape, but I like this a lot. I suppose non-landscape photographers approach it differently.

The fence is great. I actually like the bit of another fence peeking through.

Very nice. This has a certain serene, calmness to it. The only thing I might try, if it was mine, is to bring out a bit more detail in the sky, other than that it is a wallhanger for me.

I like the sweeping lines of the fence. It compliments the lines of the distant hills. Peaceful scene, would love to pull up a chair and enjoy.

For those who live in the mid-Atlantic, this scene is on route 522, the only road between Culpeper, VA and Sperryville, VA - as pretty a road as there is in the mid-Atlantic states and almost up to the norm of rural New England.

I like how the terrain pulls you into the distance. As someone above said, it looks like a small portion of corral or other curved fence is in your shot. Maybe it could be cropped or cloned out?
