Took my 50mm with me for a walk in the fields.

1. An old log, it looked like it had been there for a long time.

2. A rock sitting near the edge of the field, the tractors must have avoided it when seeding.

3. A grounded tree, presumably due to the strong winds we've had recently.

4. A close up of the grain that is growing in all the fields at the moment.

5. I came across this interesting seat at the edge of the field.

6. The edge of the field, where the grain finishes and there is a drainage ditch that sometimes turns into a small stream.

Comments and crit much appreciated :)

4 is well done. Be careful of blown out skies in 5 and 6.

Thank you for the replies, any tips on how to go about getting a well exposed image in bright sunlight without the blown out skies? It was something that occurred to me but both of those were shot into the sun.

1. HDR photography (multiple exposures squeezed together in Photoshop)

2. Expose for sky and fill with flash(es)

3. Not include the sky in your photo ;)

That's the ones I can think of :)

Compaq made great suggestions and one is to shoot in very early morning or in the evening when the light isn't so harsh.
