I'm confused with some specs I am seeing for some lenses. I'm not sure I get the "angle of view" reference.
The Nikon 14-24 AF-S f/2.8 Nikon | AF-S Zoom Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF Lens | 2163 | B&H
has a viewing angle listed in the specs at 114 - 84 degrees (90-61 with DX-format)
The Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 Sigma | 10-20mm f/4-5.6D EX DC HSM Autofocus Lens | 201306 | B&H
shows an angle of view of 102 - 63
Is the angle of view not wider the more wide angle you have? As in 180 would show you what is directly on both sides?
So according to the specs, the 14-24 has a wider view than the 10-20? Or is it because the specs of the Sigma are given for a crop camera, and thus its the Nikon 90 degrees vs Sigma 102 degrees...
