Hey everyone, long time, no post. I'm confused as to how lenses made for aps-c size ccd's work on a full framed camera, ive heard you get vignetting but to what extent? i ordered an A900 yesterday and it looks like only one of my lenses (50 1.4) will work, if thats the case, thats kinda crappy :(
anyone have any clue how this all works?

My understanding is that all your lenses will work on the A900, but some will work in full frame mode and some will work in crop body mode, as in provide a similar focal length as on your A350. Your Minolta lenses should work in full frame mode as in any Zeiss lenses and probably the Sony G lenses.

Thanks! thats what i was kind of thinking, seems that anything old thats telephoto will work, but lenses made for the cropped sensors that are wide angle will likely suffer from vignetting. wish there was a guide somewhere because idk what lenses to buy.

Check the Sony website to see if there is an indication as to which lenses are full frame.
If the information is not there, then email them...probably [email protected]
