It's an abalone shell. It's a big shell you find in the ocean.

So those are the colours of the mother of pearl? (If that is the right word to use?)

Correct, itz an Abalone shell I've had for years from California. I've alwayz loved the colours it produces, wasn't quit sure how to take a shot of it or if anything thought it was considered photography. You all have givin me a new outlook on photography. Thx !
