Built in 1895, it has been shut down since 1982. A haven for graffiti artists, stray animals and homeless, its a really interesting place to shoot in.

Will be going back this summer with hopes of making it on the roof, the stairs leading to the 2nd floor were caked in ice (and no railings + being run down didnt lend alot to the confidence).

Probably one of the more difficult shoots I've done in a while. From the junk and garbage on the ground to the super bright windows and ultra dark interiors...made for a fun time.

Here are a few from a few hours of shooting. 13 or so images up on my blog if you want to see more, but here are my faves:

Good work on all! I like #2 especially, and 3 and 4 right behind it if cropped tighter.

Thats cool, the first one reminds me of an old Hanger.

Thanks for checking them out!

Pretty sweet shots! Is that rain and snow on the ground? Looks cold. Nice set of shots.

Mix of rain, snow and ice. Its abnormally warm, so the snow on the roof is melting (drops constantly falling on your head and lens), which ends up pooling into ice on the ground inside.

=)

Very nice for sure!

Very nice work. I love old abandoned places like this. Always brings the "if these walls could talk" thought to the mind.

Nice job! I like the first one.

I really love this images. This kind of photography really interests me.

Is that a roof line outside the windows to the right side?
If so, I think some kind of shot out the windows to the roofline would look kind of interesting. Just thinking out loud of course. ;)

In the first image? That is under a highway. Hard to access with all the snow.
But definately a plan to go back and check out more places in and around. We did about 1/3 of the place in 2 hours

NUmber 3 is my fav. I love the way the stairs frame the window and the saturation of colour is really nice. While the walls are busy, there is less junk in this pic so it is easier to follow the eye flow.

All images are really fantastic; #1, #3 and #4 are simply WOWsome

In the third, first i felt the glow through window is a bit too harsh; then i felt, it adds to the enigma and charm of this image; this is my best

Regards :D

Thanks for the comments!

The third image is also my fave. The stairs were not easily accessible as the landing was about 5 feet up. There were constant water drops, for which I was happy to have my 7D, but still mindful not to put it directly under the water.

:)

I like them all! Excellent work.
