interesting subject, but I think the composition needs a little work. I'd rather see this in landscape and shot a little wider so you could see the grass and sky as an expanse in front of hte building...

i did like the sky in this though -- a nice black sky (I guess you used a heavy red filter )

It's good, but I think closer shots work better with this kind of subject (at least for me).

Doesn't work at all as a landscape. Foreground was a parking lot. No red filter, but a deep blue sky which lent itself to a nice red filter during the converson.

Technically very nice, but there's something just not grabbing me. Maybe it's my dreaded record shot mentality but while the sky was very nice, it was too much of a good thing and the foreground just wasn't doing anything for me, hence, the record shot

I agree and for the record it is a "record" shot as a part of a series I'm doing in my area called, "Country Roads." Much of NW Florida is being lost to economic hard times. Not terrbily long ago, this was one of the largest peanut processing plants in the United States. Now, there are but a few such plants and even fewer peanut fields. Soy has become the new crop.

The buildings are good but the sky looks too noiseless and overdone. Different sky?

Nope...natural sky. It was an intense blue sky and I did add a red filter during the conversion.
