I've been around for a few weeks, so I thought I'd share some things.
The first assignment of my photography class was to familiarize ourselves with the manual use of our cameras. I had just gotten my first DSLR, so I happy to do so.
The following are what I think are the best shots (no post-processing aside from a resize).
One. This is our dog, Annie
I missed the focus on this one. It's on her toes/nose and not her eyes.
Two. This is Nut Meg.
This one was a little noisy at the actual size (ISO:1600). Other than that, I think it's pretty good.
Three. Felix.
Four. At the local chess club.
I think this one could use a minor crop on the left, and I forgot to change the ISO, so it's still at 1600 here.
Five. Some Precious Moments Angels.
I don't know if the lighting's too great, but it's what I had.
So, that's about all. Please C&C. When the prof did so in front of the class, he just praised them (as he did with everyone's). I think he's afraid to hurt peoples' feelings.
Thanks.
