Would love to hear your thoughts ;)

Thanks for taking a look!

the vignetting reminds me of looking out a porthole on a boat.

Having trouble figuring out what I'm actually looking at. So, if that was the intent, well done. The vignetting is a bit heavy without anything in the frame to draw attention to.

As an abstract piece, I think it's fantastic

Thanks Robbins :)

Pix, YES! Perfect! EXACTLY what I was going for :)

Zmh, again, perfect! I love playing with ambiguity, hinting at something and letting the viewer fill it in.

I like what you are going for here but I think you should straighten the horizon some and use more of the, ugh-I hate rules, rule of 1/3's, by cropping some of the bottom or adding to the top.

Thanks Mike :)

This is all of the usable area, there is a bit left at the top but it's a mess and doesn't fit the "sky". I put the horizon at centre to really enhance the feeling of being low and distance, it seemed to feel the best, I will carry your thoughts forward when I'm shooting this kind of shot again as the snow melts and changes textures ;)

Digital Lo-Fi ? Or you go bonkers because of this long, long winter ? Could be, I am "snow - sick". Or sick of snow from any angle: be it shovelling, photographing or performing pirouettes on the highway. I admire your spirit pushing you still to take photographs of landscapes full of that white stuff. Even in gloomy day. You did your best, trying to make this image interesting but it is not buying me. Next time you will be taking such an image, it will be with Holga. :D

I don't really see anything of interest here. I appreciate what you are trying to do, but I can't really see anything here worth holding onto.
At most, this is a test shot to flesh out an idea. No way is this a complete or competent expression of that idea.

Thanks so much for your thoughts all, great feedback!
I have a few more shots that I took in this series that I will take a look at and see if they are better suited to convey the image I'm seeing. If not I'll carry on and try again :)
