Advice on gear and lens

So here we go, I'm moving into FF cameras. I own right now a d5100, with nikkor 50mm 1.8g and the kit lens which will not survive the transition 18-55mm f4 VR.

I usually do some street photos, night (low light) and some portrait. I want a little bit of landscape too, but mostly city. I red a lot and didn't get into a conclusion specially about which body to go. So I started thinking about my budget and glass. And here we go about the glass. It seems I can get some of the top glass (i prefere primes) for nikon, but looks like average lenses for canon. So I would like a last advice and if my perspective is wrong on the quality of the canon lenses.

option 1 - Canon Eos 6d + Canon 40mm 2.8 pancake + Canon 100mm f2 USM + Rokinon 14mm 2.8 + Rokinon 35mm 1.4

option 2 - Nikon d610 (think on d600) + Nikkor 50mm 1.8G + nikkor 85mm 1.8G + Rokinon 14mm 2.8 + Rokinon 35mm 1.4 (which seems to perform better on Nikon, don't know why Dxo puts it that way)

I am bias but the 6D is an excellent camera. The low light ability is astonishing and the ergonomics are fantastic. I don't regret my purchase one bit.

I think you should get more glass first. Your camera is pretty capable. From what you have mentioned, there isn't anything that screams FF.
You can get quite a bit of glass for the coin you'd be dropping on a body.

From looking at your signature I agree you are biast but I also agree the 6D is a very good camera.

Still I would recomend going with the D610, it has batter dynamic range and image quality then the 6D.
The 6D has the advantage in low light but the D610 is so good by itself in low light that I would rather go for the D610, well that and the fact I am a Nikon fan

To be honest either way you cant go wrong, the 6D and D610 are both absoluty awesome tools that I would dream to have.

Lol, well I'm not that biased. I'm even asking between the two of them. I'm more inclined to get the nikon gear and also that I should be investing more in glass like Mach0 said. I'm still going FF because I kind of "need it". I mean, I'm from Brazil, I'm going to USA to study for some time and after that I don't know if I can get a nice price for it in Brazil. Here an FF costs like twice as much or even three times because of the heavy taxes. So if I could get the same price for it here, surely I would wait, but that's not the situation. On the lenses, the ones that I mentioned just cover my needs.

Heard some suggestions also on getting nikkor 16-35mm and nikkor 24-120mm nano instead of the lenses I described. Any thoughts?

Personally I think going only zoom or only prime is too extreme.
I think each type of lens has its own benefits and merits and of course weakness.
Thats why I think I need both, cant see myself without my zooms or primes.
So which one to get ?

I would say get a cocktail, combination that works for you.
Look at my signature, these are the lenses I have, they didnt cost too much and all were bought used.

The 24-85mm VR is the D600 kit lens, 300$ used, very sharp lens with a very useful focal length.
The 70-300mm VR is a classic, so reasonably priced and so sharp and again very useful focal length.
Try to get my 50mm away from me, LOVE this lens, Soooo sharp, so useful at night photography but on FX body might leave lacking for portrait.
85mm is probably better for FX if you want to do portraits.
I don't know much about wide zooms, I have own cost me about 80$ used and is fairly sharp but not as sharp as more modern lenses, for me its more then enough as I use it once in a blue moon.

So I would say think what will work for you, what you want out of your photography, what is more important for you.
If you have the patient to change lenses all the time maybe investing in few primes will work for you, if you are lazy (like me) and prefer the comfort of switching less then a zoom or two will be better.
