Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I need an affordable battery pack to use with my Alien Bee 800. The one's made by photo companies are ridiculously expensive, and cheaper models I find on amazon may not be enough power. Any suggestions?

Whats wrong with the ones that Ailen Bees make? They are only $300 I believe.

There are also the ones from his sister company that is better quality. They can handle two strobes and cost $600 I think.

I don't want to buy them because slapping on a name saying it's made for photography makes the price skyrocket. The same products are made for other fields at a fraction of the cost. I've found a few already but I figure some people here would have some suggestions.

On another forum, I've seen a few people who have made their own. It was certainly cheaper than a ready made system...but they looked pretty sketchy.

If you are going to the trouble to use studio lights 'in the field'...then $300 for a Vagabond system shouldn't be a big deal.

You could always use hot shoe type flashes, which run on AA batteries.
