Yeah so today i've done a photoshoot with 5 girls. The deal was, pay for the hotel room and feed me champagne and I'll shoot you. In the lot, one of my bestie, and my business partner. She's usually the butch type, the hipster bicycle girl but when she dress and put some effort, she's a total hottie, alternate pin up kinda style.

Here's some photos (this set is intended to be used for a Dominatrix, Mistress webpage so I asked her to try her best at the resting ***** face):

I like both sets quite a bit. Love the lighting. The only nit pick is on #4, the mirror shot has one of her eyes obscured by a curl of hair that's somehow a little weird looking and draws my eye. For the dominatrix vibe she could maybe even look a little more mean - like pointing a finger down at the camera or something. Not my area of expertise though lol.

Both ladies are lovely. Does the second girl have a red tattoo on her left hand? In both shots I can't quite figure out what's up with that hand.

Nice shots. I like that you have a real style developing. I could see your work going more "noire" with maybe some smoke, and some shadows in the lighting, like lit through window blinds or something.

Good sets. But in second set, you may want to "Burn" the background a little. The background has too much light, it pulls away from her, (and she deserves all the attention! :1398:) And if you can get her to "pop" from door a little more it would look better. Also a little more fill light wouldn't hurt, her eyes have a Raccoon look, and a little more light on the eyes will solve that. And the last thing is on the last photo. on her right arm (camera left) there is a white line (I think from the lighting) that is distracting, but can be easily removed in Photoshop. :)

I bet they were very happy with your work, I would be! :)

The white picture behind her head is distracting in #2 & 3 of the first set. Like #5 the best of those.

For the second set all I have is, WOW!:drool2::D

You're right, for the mirror shot I wasn't able to quite figure what I didn't like, it's the hair, she kinda look like a robot or something. She could have look a bit more mean but she's bubbly so am I, we were probablt having to much fun with the Champagne, haha.

Yes the second girl have a Henna tattoo on her hand.

Her eyes have a raccoon look for real, the MUA opted for a big smoky eye mad max style.
I'll give it a try and burn a bit, thankx :)

I agree but I was at 6.3f, 200s, on a d300 with a 18-250mm 3.5-6.3, I need new gear to be able to play with dop. And the hotel was Lhotel, which is a Art place, all painting are originals so when you book a room, you sign a disclaimer saying you can't touch the artworks or a sensor will ring in the whole building, haha.

Maybe I can try to burn it a bit more.

I noticed she a dark makeup around her eyes, I personally have never been a big fan on of that makeup style. But that is just personal opinion. :)

Your next portrait lens should be a prime, I really like the prime I have. :)

I have never heard of a hotel with art like that. Sure enough I would bump into one every other minute!:biglaugh:

I was a bit anxious with 8 girls in a suite, 6 of us tipsy.
There's a suite where it was all pop art, originals from Warhol and Roy lichtenstein
