Ahna Spring Portraits

A few portraits I took recently of a good friend of mine, who was kind enough to play model for a few hours for me last week.

Canon 5D MKIII, Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 lens. Lit with natural light and a reflector.

As much as I am enjoying the spring pinks, for me the B&W is the money shot here. Her long, slender hands are exquisite!

Thank you so much. Ahna and I have been friends for over a year now and I've photographed her several times, but only during this shoot did I find out from her that she used to be an official SuicideGirls model. SuicideGirls really isn't my thing and I definitely don't photograph her within that gaze, but to many it's actually a pretty big deal.

I love the black and white as well. I attempted a different kind of processing recipe on that one and am really happy with the way it came out.

Thank you. If I remember correctly the dark background in that shot is just a large evergreen tree in the background.
