Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
We receive quite a bit of military traffic at work and when we do, my camera and I go to work..

Composition is tough sometimes and it's a different sort of action photography at times also. My 18mm was max'd out and this is when I finally realized the need for a lense that's wider.

A 300mm f2.8 would have been wonderfull during this action.

Cool.

What are they? Do you know?

The last one is an F-16... Can't tell off the top of my head what the top 3 are... The paint scheme looks 'Russian', but they have a Canadian flag on the tail and the writing is in English. ...I'm not very familiar with what kind of fighters Canada has...I always kinda thought they had pretty much the same stuff we did.

OOOOOOOOh no!

Canada is a socialist country with health care. They probably get their planes from China.

:smileys:

...I couldn't find it in my Jane's book (published 2002).

Either it's newer than my book (doubt it...looks like a 70's design), or for some reason - it's not in it, which seems weird from Jane's. I'll have to check the (newer) books we have at work...

Ok, I'll clarify for ya. The Canadian jets are owned by a corporation that provides these jets on Military Contract basis as targets and aggressor missions. They are Alpha Jets made by Dornier.

The other is an F-16 (#5 pictured) while departing PDX. I got to stand about 15ft from the runway as the whole team departed one by one. Quite an experience to say the least!

The second and third are awesome! I don't really like the last one cos the landing gear aren't retracted.

The 2nd picture shows so much potential for greatness. If the whole plane had been in the picture, it'd be awesome. Loving the mood it sets and the colors.

I guess that explains the paint job.

Oooh. I was right about the year, at least, lol. First flight 1973.

It still bugs me that I couldn't find it though... I'll have to check again, it has to be in there, lol.
