All in one umbrella - what's next?

I got the LastoLite all in one umbrella as a Christmas gift and I'm not sure what to do with it. It did not come with a stand so I guess that will be my next venture or should I just return it (I have a gift receipt) and get a whole lighting kit instead? If so, which one would be recommended for a studio lighting n00b?

Lastolite makes some decent umbrellas. If you are wanting to get into some studio type shooting, the Flashpoint monolights are excellent for the price. So are the stands. (adorama)

A lightstand is needed. Do you have a swiveling umbrella mount, on which to mount both a speedlight flash unit AND the umbrella?? The inexpensive, $14.95 to $19.95 polycarbonate umbrella swivel mounts work pretty well.THey are sold by flashzebra.com, Adorama, B&H Photo,MPEX.com,etc.,etc..

As cgipson1 mentioned, the Adorama Flashpoint monolights offer TREMENDOUS bang-for-the-buck. A 150 Watt-second monolight and light stand can be had for around $139 or so, from Adorama. I think highly of the Lastolite Umbrella Box type of umbrellas, and use them myself.

It didn't come with a swivel mount so I will have to get one along with a light stand.
