My first Osprey mega-shot was 3 years ago on August 27th. Today it happened again. The light was better, my gear is better and the Osprey never saw me.. The only problem with the 7D Mark II is that I have too many frames to choose from, so I narrowed it down to 4 shots. Comments welcome and thanks for looking...
From far to near..

#2 is my pick but they are all wonderful.

Excellent Kris.......but somehow I feel the catch (fish) is not as sharp as in your earlier sets.....wherein both the pray and catch are sharp......

Tough problem to have, huh Kris. Nice set. I can't decide between #2 & #4. Heck, why pick, just keep them coming. Great job.

SWEETNESS! Are you sure it did not see you, because in 2, 3, & 4 he is looking dead at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 and 4 are my favorites.
I personally am quite afraid of birds, but these are both frightening and amazing to look at

excellent all! Although #4 is an awesome close-up, I like #2. Probably about the wing position.

#4 definitely!

Thanks Ron, The 7d Mark II is pretty sweet huh...

It looks like you guys were in staring contest!
Brilliant series.
The Osprey was actually looking directly over me. If he had seen me he would have banked faster than an F-15.. I think the sun behind me made me look like part of the boulder so the Osprey didn't associate me as a human shape..

It could be a DOF thing or it just could be the fish itself because of the light. I think the closest shot is 75 feet at F5 so there isn't much DOF there.

Very Cool!!! Love the Ospreys! Here's a neat link following the movements of Osprey tagged with transmitters. I find it extremely interning to see where they migrated...
