Almost twins

It is wonderful to ride the NYC subway because of the ever changing panoply of people in their infinite variety. Because of the crowds each rider seems to inhabit their own cone of privacy, rarely making eye contact with other riders. It is just fascinating to be able to observe people at close remove and, if one is inconspicuous, get pictures of people being themselves.

These two for example, both females both wearing hats, both looking down, intent on some electronic device yet as different as chalk and cheese.

Nice shot Lew.

It's the kind of shot I will ask my 15 year old son what he sees, feels and thinks. I stare at the faces of the 'Twins' and my minds eye takes me to such different places.

I am guessing my son will notice the guy with the red cap in the relection early on. This shot could invoke some interesting father son conversation.

There are three 'M's in street shooting, meaning, mood and mystery.
I think the best shots have some proportion of all three.
Shots that lean heavily on the Mood button, to the exclusion of others, with BW processing, heavy saturation or clarity are, imo, just fakes.
